Directions Casa de Salinas - Renaissance Splendor of Seville

About

  • English
    • The Casa de Salinas in Seville is a 16th-century private palace that is a remarkable example of Andalusian architecture. Located in the heart of the city, near the cathedral, it was built on the remains of an ancient Roman house, of which original mosaics can still be seen.

The palace harmoniously combines Renaissance, Gothic and Mudejar styles, which is an architectural style influenced by the Moors. The building is structured around a central courtyard decorated with columns, stucco and traditional Sevillian tiles. It is still inhabited by the founding family, making it one of the few palaces in the city to have been preserved intact over the centuries.
