Directions Casa de Murillo - Murillo's final resting place in Seville

About

  • English
    • The Casa de Murillo, located in the historic Santa Cruz district of Seville, was the last residence of the famous Spanish Baroque painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617–1682).

Although much of the building has been converted into administrative offices, it has been converted into a house-museum to recreate the 17th-century atmosphere and pay tribute to the artist. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest, this typical Sevillian palace-house features remarkable architecture with two floors and a central patio with columns and round arches. The venue hosts temporary exhibitions and often serves as the starting point for a route that allows visitors to follow in Murillo's footsteps around the city.
