Directions Casino de la Exposición - Neo-Baroque Splendor of Seville

About

  • English
    • The Casino de la Exposición in Seville is an emblematic building in the city, built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Designed by the architect Vicente Traver y Tomás, it was part of the Seville Pavilion, alongside the Lope de Vega Theatre.

Its architectural style is a harmonious blend of historicist neo-baroque and decorative elements. Particularly noteworthy is its richly decorated dome, beneath which there is a large circular space. The building is also characterized by its columned porch and decorative details in ceramic and marble, typical of the regionalist architecture of the time.

Originally a place of entertainment and meeting, the building is now an important cultural center, hosting exhibitions and events.
