About

  • English
    • The Puente del Cachorro , officially known as Puente del Cristo de la Expiración , is an iconic modern bridge in Seville, built in 1991 by engineer José Luis Manzanares Japón for Expo 92.

Inspired by the Pont Alexandre III in Paris, it is a remarkable 223-meter-long steel structure with low arches, notable for its 130-meter unsupported span in the water of the Guadalquivir basin. It is a vital link connecting the Triana district to the A-49 motorway towards Huelva, and takes its nickname from the famous image of Christ of the Expiration ("El Cachorro") housed in the nearby Triana basilica.
