About

  • English
    • The Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Seville is an ethnological museum dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of the region of Andalusia. It is located in the magnificent Mudejar Pavilion, a neo-Mudejar style building that was built for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, in the Plaza de América, within the María Luisa Park.

Its diverse collections illustrate the traditions, crafts, and lifestyle of Andalusians throughout the centuries. They include ceramics, textiles, traditional costumes, musical instruments, and everyday objects. The museum is particularly renowned for its rich collection of lace and embroidery, one of the most important in Europe. It also features reconstructions of artisan workshops and living quarters, providing an immersive insight into local traditions.
