Real Fábrica de Artillería Industrial and cultural heritage of Seville

The Royal Artillery Factory of Seville, established in 1565 and acquired by the Spanish Crown in 1634, was for centuries the main center of arms production in Spain, especially bronze cannons. The current building, in Baroque style with Neoclassical additions, was built mainly in the 18th century and became the most efficient artillery factory in the country. It ceased operation in 1991 and has since undergone a major rehabilitation project to become the Magallanes Center for Cultural Industries.
