The Convent of Santa Paula (Convento de Santa Paula) is one of the most discreet artistic and spiritual jewels in the historic center of Seville.
Founded in 1473 for the nuns of the Order of Saint Jerome (Jerónimos), it has been declared a Historic-Artistic Monument and has remarkably remained a functioning monastery, inhabited in enclosure for more than five centuries. Its architecture is a fascinating mixture of styles, ranging from the Gothic-Mudejar of the cloister to the Plateresque of its magnificent church façade dating from 1504, richly decorated with sculptures and ceramics.
