About

  • English
    • The Palace of the Dueñas (Palacio de las Dueñas - Casa de Alba) is one of Seville's most iconic landmarks. Located in the heart of the city, it is famous for being the residence of the House of Alba and for its rich mix of architectural styles, mainly Mudejar and Gothic. The palace is a true haven of peace, with its flower-filled interior courtyards and lush gardens that are symbols of Andalusian architecture.

Built in the late 15th century, the palace was the birthplace of the Spanish poet Antonio Machado in 1875. It was opened to the public in 2016, upon his death, allowing visitors to discover its patios, its azulejo-decorated salons and its art collections which include paintings, tapestries and furniture. The Palacio de las Dueñas is a place steeped in history and culture that offers a fascinating insight into the Sevillian aristocracy.
