Nestled in the basement of the daring Metropol Parasol structure (nicknamed the "Setas" or "Mushrooms") in the Plaza de la Encarnación, the Antiquarium of Seville is a unique archaeological site and museum.
It presents the most important remains from the city's Roman period, discovered by surprise during the construction of the Metropol Parasol. Visitors can admire, over a vast area, remarkable Roman mosaics, walls and foundations dating from the 1st to the 6th century, as well as traces of an Almohad Islamic house (12th-13th centuries).
