About

  • English
    • The Parroquia de San Pedro Apóstol is one of the most important medieval churches in Seville.

Built mainly in the 14th and 15th centuries in the Gothic-Mudejar style, it occupies the site of an old mosque and underwent major renovations in the 16th and 18th centuries. The church is a true treasure trove of art, housing works of great value. It also houses the famous Capilla Sacramental, one of the oldest in the building, renowned for its superb Mudejar vault decorated with brick lacework (lacería).

Its façade is known for the famous " Pajarito de San Pedro " (Little Bird of Saint Peter), a goldfinch hidden in a ceramic panel which, according to legend, brings luck in love to those who find it.
