About

  • English
    • The Seville City Hall (ayuntamiento) is the administrative and governmental body of the Andalusian capital.

Its headquarters is a remarkable historical monument located in the heart of the city, between Plaza Nueva and Plaza de San Francisco. Its construction began in the 16th century and the building has a richly decorated Plateresque-style façade on the San Francisco side, contrasting with the more sober neoclassical façade facing Plaza Nueva.

Beyond its administrative function, the town hall is an architectural treasure that houses important works of art and historical elements, such as the main staircase and the chapter house. It is classified as a Monument and attracts many visitors for its history and the beauty of its interiors.
