The Chapel of San José is a small Baroque church that stands out as a true hidden gem in the heart of Seville's historic center, close to the main shopping streets.
Built in the 18th century, largely thanks to donations from the community of the faithful, this chapel has been historically associated with the guild of carpenters, who venerated Saint Joseph as their patron. Despite its modest dimensions, its façade is monumental, made of bricks and azulejos (ceramic tiles) and crowned by an ochre bell-wall, making it an emblematic example of the Sevillian Baroque style.
